On Sunday, 22nd September at 1pm, we’re calling on all supporters of migrants’ rights to join us outside Labour Party Conference (outside the ACC building on Liverpool’s Kings Dock; map here) to protest the Labour leadership’s shameful plans in government announced by Yvette Cooper on August 21st. We refuse to let the Labour Party pander to the far right by scapegoating migrants. Proposals to ramp up deportations, expand immigration detention centres, and target migrant workers are a betrayal of the values that Labour should stand for.
We demand instead:
The first party conference during the Labour government is a critical moment to raise our demands. We need your voice, your presence, and your energy to ramp up the pressure on the Labour leadership in power.
Later the same day, join our fringe meeting to discuss the issues and the organising to come, get involved in the campaign, and meet fellow supporters: 6pm Sunday 22 September, The Botanist, Liverpool One, Chavasse Park, L2 9SQ (click here for map).
